Construction
— Construction aims to provide a dichotomy between various interpretations of what the term “construction” can mean. Alongside physical motifs of construction (planks of wood, metal sheets, traffic cones and signs, etc.), ideas of identity and capturing expression are pictured. The project aims to have the audience question how multiple meanings of construction can influence one’s sense of self.
Nature and Nurture
— Nature and Nurture, a title that references the common debate of nature versus nurture, aims to position elements found in nature among objects and concepts created and enforced by man. Depth, focus and a consistent point of view are intended to create notions of proximity and intimacy. How can people express and identify with intimacy within and against social constructs and placed expectations?
